With a love of nostalgia, sustainability and local produce, Hotel Lidenlund draws partly on modern values, while rewinding back to the hotel's heyday in the 1920s. Back then, it was the city's industrial hotel, which also provided the setting for the area's many associations and political meetings.
But even though the hotel now serves as accommodation for Lemvig's tourists, the atmosphere at Hotel Lidenlund is as it has been for more than a hundred years. The stucco ceilings are well preserved, the vintage furniture exudes the original style of the house, and the towels are knitted by local women. It all adds up to an authentic and cozy atmosphere.
Hotel Lidenlund is located in the heart of Lemvig, and as a guest you have easy access to both harbor life, the city's charm and nature - all within a radius of one kilometer. 500 meters from the hotel's front door is the harbor, where you can jump into the blue wave, either from the harbor's bathing jetties or the city's small sandy beach. 200 meters from the hotel you will find Lemvig Lake, which provides an opportunity for a walk to the melting valley of the ice age. The hotel itself is surrounded by the town's restaurants and specialty shops.
In the spring of 2021, Hotel Lidenlund underwent a major renovation, so that the soul of the place now stands out even more clearly. Especially the facade house has been kept in the old, traditional style, while the back house has been given a more modern expression. As part of the renovation, the hotel has also received two brand new suites, where special attention has been paid to the details.
In addition to facilities for overnight guests in the hotel's 27 rooms, Hotel Lidenlund also offers banquet rooms for up to 110 people and the possibility of business meetings. In both cases with the possibility of serving.
The hosts at Hotel Lidenlund are Gitte and Steen Bitsch, who have lived in Gudum, east of Lemvig, for the past 30 years. They are therefore familiar with both the sights in the immediate area and the local history of Lemvig and the surrounding area.
